Biography

Dr. Neubauer’s Philosophy
“My goal is to provide comprehensive cancer care for my patients. I chose the field of gynecologic oncology because I want to provide high quality, compassionate medical care to women, and my specialty is unique in that it allows me to offer patients several different modalities of treatment for their cancer including surgery and chemotherapy and it also allows me to develop long-term relationships with my patients and their families which I enjoy. I believe that trust is an important component of the doctor patient relationship and my goal is that my patients feel that we are in this fight against cancer together.”

Dr. Nikki Neubauer is a board certified gynecologic oncologist specializing in the care of women with gynecologic cancers. She specializes in complex gynecologic pathology, and patients interested in innovative, minimally invasive approaches to surgery.

Dr. Neubauer began her medical training at Case Western University in Cleveland, OH and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Neubauer completed an Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accredited fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine and has been practicing in Chicago, Illinois ever since.

A few of Dr. Neubauer’s clinical and research interests are gestational trophoblastic disease, minimally invasive surgery, chemotherapy for gynecologic cancers and quality of life issues in cancer patients . She has authored several articles on these topics and presented research regarding minimally invasive surgery at national conferences. Dr. Neubauer’s interest and expertise in minimally invasive surgery led her to develop a robotic surgery training program for residents at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
